A poignant play about two young men signing up to Britain’s war effort comes to Clevedon next week to mark the start of the Remembrance Day commemorations.
PALS, by North South Theatre, is a dark comedy set during the first years of World War I.
The unforgettable and gripping journey follows two innocent and enthusiastic men who volunteer their services after Kitchener’s call for a new army.
Their experience is a stark contrast to the propaganda machine which promised glory and honour.
See the show at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, on Wednesday 31 October, at The Theatre Shop, in Queens Square, Clevedon.
Tickets cost £12, and the recommended age is 10+. Book at www.theatreshop.org.uk or call 03336 663 366 (£1.50 booking fee applies)
For a round-up of Remembrance Day events throughout the area see the next issue of Life magazine – which lands on doormats from Monday 5 November.
