Artistic events and workshops are on the menu in Weston-super-Mare thanks to a new community arts studio opening in the High Street.
Socially-engaged arts organisation Terrestrial has opened up in the unit previously held by Saltrock – and is now known as Weston Artspace.
It is open to local people who want to meet, work, run events and develop new skills, whether a writer, filmmaker, artist, musician, bar stool philosopher, graphic designer, coder, gamer, illustrator or more.
While everything is getting set up, a series of fun, open-to-all events are taking place in the space.
Saturday 9 March is Make a Mess! day. Pop in any time from 10.30am-4pm for a series of arts workshops, pop-up events, craft sessions and general messiness.
On Saturday 23 March, it’s Make Some Noise! day. Drop in between 10.30am and 4pm for music making workshops, theatre games, pop-up events and general noisiness.
