Learn a new skill at free festival

Would like to try building a garden wall, designing a storyboard or try 3D printing?

A range of fun activities can be enjoyed during a new festival in Weston-super-Mare which will bring learning to life.

The first ever Festival of Learning takes place on Saturday 15 June in the Italian Gardens and Winter Gardens ballroom and will feature a host of hands-on activities for all ages.

Have a go at making slime, take part in science experiments, carry out a survey using digital and laser technologies, learn British Sign Language, take part in a drawing techniques workshop and more.

If anyone is interested in becoming an apprentice, studying part-time or remotely, doing an evening leisure course, or being supported back into employment, Weston College staff will be available to tell you what’s on offer and help you enrol.

The festival runs from 11am to 3pm on Saturday 15 June.

Register in advance at www.weston.ac.uk/festivaloflearning or just turn up on the day.
