Funding available for electric vehicle charging points

Do you run a business and would you like to help your employees have a greener commute to work?

Funding is now available for North Somerset businesses to apply for a grant to install electric vehicle charging points.

These popular grants, funded by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles, cover 50 per cent of the cost of installing a charging point.

The workplace charging points enable businesses to switch their fleet to electric, so saving on fuel costs and providing tax incentives.

They also benefits employees, who can charge their cars while at work.

North Somerset Council is working with Bristol City, Bath and North East Somerset and South Gloucestershire councils to double the number of public charging points across the region and create four rapid charging hubs.

The deadline for applying is Monday 8 July. To apply and for more information, email sustainable.travel@n-somerset.gov.uk
