If you still have Christmas gifts to get then visiting your local high street – either virtually or in-person – could be the perfect place to find a unique present.
Local retailers, traders, makers, producers, restaurants, pubs and cafes all need our support following two lockdowns and Tier 3 restrictions.
Many are now offering digital services to make it easier to buy from the comfort of your own home, whether you use a click and collect service, a delivery option, buy vouchers or treat yourself to a take away.
Choosing local traders rather than one of the internet giants will help our businesses and the people who work for them.
Search for your favourite independent store, café, pub or restaurant online to see if it has its own website or Facebook page to order through.
To support local businesses, free parking is available every Saturday afternoon before Christmas Day in Weston-super-Mare, from 1pm at Grove Park car park and Carlton Street multi-storey car park.
All other restrictions and conditions in those car parks still apply during these free periods.
On Christmas Day and Boxing Day on-street pay and display parking is free and without time limit.
As Sundays are free for on-street pay and display, this means pay and display parking is free and unrestricted from 6pm on Thursday 24 December until 8am on Monday 28 December.
If you’re shopping online instead, here are some top picks:
