Free bike register events

Family of four on bicycles, small children in the frontFree bike security and information roadshows are taking place across North Somerset this autumn.

During these free events, you can get your bike registered with a security stamp as well as receive advice and information about local cycle routes.

Thanks to the Department for Transport’s Access Fund for Sustainable Travel, marking kits – which usually retail for £19.99 – are being offered for free.

Get your skates on – Icescape is returning!

A spectacular winter wonderland is soon returning to Weston’s iconic Tropicana following last year’s phenomenal success.

Red Arrows return and hot air balloons to take off

Look up to the skies above Weston-super-Mare this weekend for some amazing aerial displays by both aeroplanes and hot air balloons.

Weston Air Festival returns tomorrow (Saturday 23 June) and Sunday (24 June) with a bumper line-up of aerial displays including the Red Arrows, Typhoon, Catalina, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Aerosuperbatics Wingwalkers and more.

One week left to apply for a travel grant

Businesses, schools and community organisations in North Somerset have just one week left to apply for up to £3,000 to help pay for sustainable travel improvements.

Grants are 50:50 match-funded and can be used to improve cycling, walking, or car sharing to make it easier for staff, students or visitors to leave their car at home.
